Event Information

The historic Firemen’s Angell Park Speedway will rumble as the Monster Truck Throwdown tour invades Sun Prairie, Wisconsin’s 1/3 mile dirt track from July 8-9, 2016 for the first time ever!

Headlining this year’s inaugural event is none other than former World Freestyle Champion, Jimmy Creten, driver of the iconic Bounty Hunter machine. “It’s going to be a great time for fans of all ages. We’ve traveled across the United States, Canada, and Mexico and always look forward to running the Monster Truck Throwdown series during the summer,” commented Creten.

Creten will undoubtedly have his work cut out for him as he is slated to compete against 5 other top names in the industry including defending Monster Truck Throwdown series championship trucks Over Bored, Crushstation, and Barbarian. Not only will Creten face these hard-charging icons but also his wife, Dawn Creten, driving her own monster truck, Scarlet Bandit.

Monster trucks will compete in wheelie, racing, donut, and freestyle competitions each night as they soar over school buses and annihilate junk cars. As a special thrill element, fans will also be treated to the high-flying, backflipping antics of freestyle motocross! Fans of all ages can also take the ride of a lifetime on a monster ride truck for a nominal additional fee, before and after each show.

Gates open at 4pm both Friday and Saturday with a pre-race pit party from 5:00 to 6:30pm. “The pit party allows our fans to get up close and personal with the trucks, ask us questions and get autographs,” said Over Bored driver, Jamey Garner. “It’s always a great time to connect with our fans!” he continued.
